The victim was with his three sons. They came from a store and were walking toward their house when the suspect attacked Pahamutang, who suffered several stab wounds in the body.

Earlier that day, a body in an advanced state of decomposition was discovered in Sitio Liki, Barangay Sunog, Balamban.

Police said the man had a gunshot wound in the forehead.

“According to the residents and barangay officials, (the man) is believed to be a salvage victim and thrown (in the sitio) due to the remoteness of the area,” a police report read.

Residents are not familiar with the victim’s profile. The body was found by Robert Lapinid at 9 a.m.

At 5 p.m., pedicab driver Vicente Gonzales, 32, suffered gunshot wound in the stomach after he was shot by his neighbor Jonathan Barbero Jr., who escaped after the incident.

Rico was traveling toward Carcar City when he met the accident along a curb where he lost control of his vehicle.
