ORGANIZERS of The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) are calling on Cebuanos to nominate deserving individuals for this year’s search.
Atty. Mark Lester Lastimosa, TOYM search chairman, said in a recent media launching that it has been a decade since a Cebuano received the title.
“We are encouraging Cebuanos to nominate these individuals,” said Lastimosa.
Lastimosa said that stories of TOYM honorees serve as inspiration to others to do positive things for the welfare of their countrymen.
International Cebuano designer Kenneth Cobonpue was named a TOYM awardee in 2003 in the field of Art/Design and Entrepreneurship, together with other Cebuanos like former Cebu City mayor Tomas Osmeña and former Cebu City vice mayor Joy Augustus Young.
Nominees must be a Filipino citizen with ages between 18 and 40. The nominee will be evaluated by his/her exceptional leadership and excellence in the course of his contribution to humanity in general.
