TWO foreign nationals figured in separate incidents in Cebu City over the weekend.
Last Sunday, a Korean national was allegedly robbed by her helper on Turquoise St., Silver Hills Subdivision, Kalubihan, Talamban at 6 p.m.
Cho Eun Jung, 43, an employee of a Korean company, had Eufema Canania Cabaral, 40, one of his stay-in house helpers, arrested by operatives of the Talamban Police Station.
Cabaral admitted stealing from Jung a gold necklace worth P20,000 and pawning it.
SPO1 Joel Rosales, investigator of the Talamban Police Station, said Cabaral stole the item after only two weeks working for Jung.
Rosales said he committed the crime because her child was sick.
Cabaral was detained at the Talamban Police Station.
Police filed qualified theft charges against her yesterday.
Meanwhile, a Russian national was arrested after destroying the ceiling, weighing scales and the wall clock of the barangay hall of Duljo-Fatima at 5:15 p.m. last Sunday.
John Dwinner, 41, who is staying in Barangay Lahug, was turned over by the barangay officials to the police for drunkenness and a malicious mischief.
