Capitol to hire 2 security firms-A A +A

THE Provincial Board (PB) approved GDS Security and Detective Agency and Tactical Security Agency Inc. (TSAI) as the Province’s security provider.
The approval gives Gov. Hilario Davide III authority to sign the contract with the two winning bidders.
Provincial General Services Officer Jone Sepe said the two agencies and Davide will sign the contract within the week.
A resolution on the matter, sponsored by Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale, will be used as reference for the contract signing.
In terms of security, the Province is divided into two areas – from Cebu City north up to the northern towns and cities, and Cebu City south down to the northern towns and cities.
The agencies will provide security to offices and facilities of the Province, including buildings and other structures.
The Tactical Security Agency will cover the first area while the GDS will cover the second area.
The first area has an approved budget of over P21 million, while the second area has a budget of P17 million.
The first area will have 111 security guards, while the second area will have 91 security guards.
