A 21-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead while eating noodles on a street eatery early morning yesterday.

Devin Padayao had multiple gunshot wounds on the face.

He was shot at 3:30 a.m. in Sitio Kawayan, Barangay Sambag II.

According to the initial investigation of the police, an unidentified man on a motorcycle approached the victim and asked him if there is a nearby house for rent.

After Padayao answered the question, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim several times and fled with the motorcycle driver.

SPO4 Alex Dacua of the Cebu City Police Office Homicide Section said they are investigating the possibility that the incident is drug-related.

Dacua said they are having a hard time interviewing witnesses, most of whom refuse to talk about the incident.

Immediately after the shooting, Padayao was rushed to the Chong Hua Hospital but he
was already dead.

Three empty shells of a 9mm gun was recovered from the crime scene. (Nheru Veraflor, USJ-R Mass Com Intern)
