IDENTITIES of the three suspects on a killing spree last Sunday remain unknown but the Theft and Robbery Section (TRS) of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) will make a facial composite based on the witnesses' description.

Witnesses said one of the suspects is a 14-year-old while the two others are in their 30s.

It was learned that Eleanor Rivera, one of the victims, is a friend of Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama.

It was Rama who ordered CCPO Director Noli Romana to arrest the suspects immediately.

Investigation also revealed that Rivera lost P50,000, which was inside her sports utility vehicle (SUV).

The SUV is one of five vehicles that the suspects forcibly took last Sunday, shooting Rivera in the process.

“We now have a clear motive of robbery because something was lost,” Cernio told reporters in an interview yesterday.

The suspects also reportedly demanded money from Julius Capuno, another victim in the incident.

Capuno was on a motorcycle in Barangay Tabunan, Cebu City driven by Gazoni Alibango, when the three suspects, boarding a taxi, bumped into them.

At 10 p.m. Sunday, the three suspects forcibly took a cab driven by Elenito Catalla.

Catalla said the suspects boarded on Jakosalem St., Cebu City and asked him to take them to Minglanilla.

When they reached Barangay Pooc, Talisay City, the three suspects forcibly took Catalla’s cab.

Leaving Catalla on the street, the suspects headed to Barangay Tabunan, Cebu City where they bumped Alibango and Capuno's motorcycle.

Alibango and Capuno were thrown into the street and the suspects shot Capuno.

Ramil Abatayo, who happened to pass by the area, stopped and tried to help but the suspects struck his head with a firearm.

Using Abatayo’s motorcycle this time, the suspect headed to Ayala Heights wherein they saw Rivera’s vehicle.

Suspects approached Rivera, who was with her housemaid, and ordered the two to disembark while shooting Rivera on the abdomen.

Then the suspects took the SUV, leaving Abatayo’s motorcycle.

In another place, the suspects stole another motorcycle, then left it for a multicab and abandoned the latter again. The suspects then boarded a jeepney to the urban center.
