ONE of Lapu-Lapu City’s most wanted persons was arrested yesterday after being on the run for two years.

A confidential informant told police that Editho Sablas, 50, had been seen in Barangay Baring.

It was later confirmed that Sablas has a house in Sitio Kauswagan.

Lapu-Lapu City Police Station 1 operatives headed by Senior Insp. James Conacofrom went to Sablas’s house where they found him.

They were armed with an arrest warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 53 Judge Anna Marie Militante.

Sablas was charged with two counts of rape for allegedly raping his daughter who are both minors in 2012.

The suspect was detained at the Lapu-Lapu City Police Station 1 detention cell in Barangay Baring before he was transferred to the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office headquarters in Barangay Pusok. (Christine Joy V. Fernando, CNU Comm intern)
