THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) 7 filed three more criminal complaints against the alleged cult leader in Balamban and his two followers before the Cebu Provincial Prosecutor’s Office yesterday afternoon.

Casiano “Tatay Loloy Jr.” Apduhan was charged with murder, child abuse and violation of the human trafficking law for allegedly forcing his followers to work without

Murder and child abuse complaints were also filed against Zacarias Barquio and Victo r Fajardo.

NBI 7 supervising agent Rey Villordon said they based their new complaints on the testimonies of Eleuterio and Remigia Repuela, parents of Angelo Repuela whose remains were unearthed in the tunnel below Apduhan’s villa in Barangay Buanoy, Balamban last week.

He said they included Barquio and Fajardo in the murder complaint because they were present before Angelo was wrapped lifeless in a blanket. The two also allegedly took part in burying Angelo in the tunnel.

Barquio and Fajardo, he said, allegedly conspired with Apduhan in forcing minors to work.

Apduhan denied he killed Angelo and the other accusations.

Angelo’s mother, in her affidavit, said she discovered the boy was already dead when she returned to the other house of Apduhan after cooking dinner in November 2012.

Eleuterio also said he saw his son wrapped in blanket. He saw blood on the cloth.

Aside from recovering Angelo’s remains, authorities also rescued a woman in her 30s who was allegedly detained by Apduhan for more than five years.

Witness John (real name withheld) said he joined in the burial of Angelo and “detected” a woman living alone in a room inside Apduhan’s house. He said Apduhan did not allow anyone to enter her room.

Last Wednesday morning, operatives of the NBI 7, Provincial Women’s Commission, and the police raided Apduhan’s villa based on the search warrant by Toledo City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 59 Judge Hermes Montero.

They seized guns and other evidence in Apduhan’s residence.
