FOUR Cebu City police station chiefs will be relieved from their posts effective today because of their unsatisfactory performance.
Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) Director Noli Romana, however, refused to name the four.
“You will eventually know who they are,” Romana told the media yesterday, adding that these four officers might be transferred to other police units where they could excel.
Romana said he decided to relieve the four police station chiefs because he was not pleased with their work. He added that the areas of responsibility of the officers concerned have rampant unsolved crimes, especially shooting incidents involving unidentified assailants.
Romana said he noticed the unsatisfactory performance of these four stations since
last year yet.
“I gave them the chance (but) there was no improvement,” he added.
Romana explained that through its geographical information system, the CCPO is able to determine which areas have rampant crimes.
A crime analysis conducted every week showed that the areas of these four station chiefs have the highest number of crimes.
Romana is hoping that the replacements will help improve the performance of the four police stations affected.
