THE Cebu Provincial Capitol will donate P1 million to the Sinulog Foundation.

Capitol will also let Suroy-Suroy buses transport Sinulog participants from their towns of origins to Cebu City for the competitions, said Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III yesterday.

Jan. 11 is the scheduled “Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Lalawigan” competition. The high school category participants are from the cities of Bogo, Naga, Danao and the municipality of Tuburan.

The elementary category participants are from the cities of Talisay, Danao, Mandaue, Naga and the town of Ginatilan.

The executive director of Sinulog Foundation, Ricky Ballesteros, invited Davide, Davide’s family, and Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale to the Sinulog activities.

Davide and Magpale confirmed they will attend the holy mass during the Sinulog launching on Jan 10.

Magpale said that during her time as acting governor last year, which she considered as the hardest times for Capitol, the Province gave P300,000 as donation to Sinulog Foundation.
