Buzz: Dress code

-A A +A

Saturday, January 4, 2014

Local legislators like to keep their sessions solemn and sober so they imposed a dress code at the Cebu City Hall Session Hall. City councilors attend the session in barong or in coat and tie while the councilwomen wear business attire.

The people in the gallery are required to wear smart casual attire and no one wearing flip-flops, sleeveless, shorts and Capri pants are allowed to enter.

But, of course, there is an exception to the rule. Beautiful women can go in even when they are wearing sleeveless shirts or dresses. Short and shorter hemlines are also favored for the well-endowed.

During the last session of the council on Dec. 18, reporters noted at least three “beautiful” women in sleeveless tops inside the session hall. The person responsible for security in the session hall “looked away.”
