THE Bando Osmeña Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK) headed by Cebu City South district Rep. Tomas Osmeña will hold its sortie together with the president at the Provincial Capitol on April 18.

President Benigno Aquino III, chairman of the Liberal party, will be in Cebu on April 18 and 19.

In earlier reports, the BOPK, which is allied with LP, will hold its campaign rally at the Capitol grounds together with Aquino and the Team PNoy senatoriables.

Osmeña is running against incumbent Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama for the mayoral post.

Acting Gov. Agnes Magpale said the BOPK will hold a rally and the dinner will be at the Capitol social hall.

“Mag-rally ang BOPK and I’m sure duna na sila’y request nga mogamit ang LP sa social hall for dinner (The BOPK will hold a rally and I’m sure LP will use the social hall for the dinner). They will rent the social hall. I don’t have the letter yet pero verbally,” Magpale said.

Capitol grounds

Magpale pointed out that it would be a BOPK rally, but she was not sure if the rally will be held at the Capitol grounds.

However, Magpale said she did not know yet if Aquino can go along with their campaign in the Province.

Aquino visited Talisay City last February for the senatorial slate campaign rally.

Earlier, LP gubernatorial candidate Hilario Davide III said Aquino will be back in Cebu to campaign for the local candidates.

Magpale is the runningmate of Davide.

Davide is running against Rep. Pablo John Garcia (Cebu Province, 3rd district) under One Cebu Party, while Magpale will run against her relative, former Danao City vice mayor Ramon “Boboy” Durano IV.

Today, LP will visit Bantayan Island. They will be in Camotes on April 14 to 16.

One Cebu will also be in Bantayan on April 15 to 17. They will then proceed to Bogo City on April 18 for a campaign rally.
