LIFE is beautiful and one needs to live and celebrate life and be a blessing to others every day.

At Marie Ernestine School, values, such as love, compassion, generosity, respect and stewardship, among others, are taught to the students every day.

One of the advocacies of the school is to serve communities in Cebu City through its outreach program called “Duwa ug Eskwela.”

It is an activity wherein the school will invite students from public schools to have fun and learn new things. It is also a chance for the Ernestineans to help the less fortunate kids by sharing their blessings to them.

Despite the heavy downpour last July 26, the kids from Barangay Lahug, Cebu City came and they were the guests of the Ernestineans from the intermediate level in north campus, Budlaan.

All the participating kids had a lot of fun with the games as shown by their smiles and laughter. They were also taught how to pray, say polite expressions and to properly introduce themselves.

All the guests were given a raincoat, a pair of slippers, school supplies and goodies. They were then treated to a sumptuous meal.

The Lahug kids will forever treasure their experience in Marie Ernestine–north campus, while the Ernestineans will continue to do their best to be of service to the community and just be blessings to others.

“Thank you to the parents, students, teachers, administration and to Barangay Lahug for the success of the activity,” the school’s press release stated.
