CATHAY Pacific (CX) Airways’ Cebu office recently bid goodbye to outgoing manager Sally Wong and welcomed Jasmine Chan during a hail and farewell event.

Held at the Scrapyard Lounge, Wong recounted the top three things she has learned about Cebu in the past year she has worked here, eventful as it had been with the Bohol earthquake and typhoon Yolanda: everyone is a singer; if there is an event, there is food; and the best way to get a message out is through Facebook or Instagram.

Chan, on her part, also shared how she used to associate the Philippines with taro ice cream when she was little, her father often bringing some home after returning from business trips to Manila. She looks forward to finally working here in Cebu.

During the event CX also announced the launch of its Cebu-Hong Kong-Manchester route.

Starting Dec. 8, CX will fly four times weekly to Manchester.
