JUNE is now hailed as the Financial Independence Month by the country’s longest-standing life insurance company, Sun Life Financial.
“In this modern time, money problems keep us from fulfilling our goals and we’d like to change that so we can be a nation of financially independent people, ” Riza Mantaring, Sun Life president and chief executive officer said on their press release.
Based on the study conducted by Sun Life and Social Weather Stations (SWS), only 32 percent of Filipinos have a saving habit. This is the reason why money is enslaving the Filipinos in a matter of shortage, worry and financial dependency.
To help the people in the country to create and visualize their goals in life the Sun Life Financial relaunches its Brighter Life campaign. This campaign is a way to encourage the public to be free on their financial problems and to live without worrying about the future.
“We can provide the public the knowledge and the tools they need about saving, investing and insuring themselves and their families.” Mylene Lopa, chief marketing officer of Sun Life said.
Sun Life prepared a new lineup of fun and educational activities under the Brighter Life, its multimedia advertising and digital financial literacy movement.
Named as FIT initiatives, the public is encouraged to get fit or Financial Intelligence Test (F.I.T.) via online, be fit by joining a more broad Financial Independence Training (F.I.T.) session, and stay fit by being just connected to Brighter life 24/7 through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
