Coastal cool and city chic

WHEN it comes to casual wear, beach-inspired clothing doesn’t have to be restricted to Hawaiian shirts. Look to the Mediterranean coast for her or nautical prep for him, and be inspired when putting together the next cool and casual OOTD.

For that Mediterranean feel, choose pieces in orange, pink, or red. Look out for pops of neon, vibrant patterns and embroidery on tops and dresses.

Pair these with crisp white or other neutrals, or chambray and other versatile denims in the form of jeans, vests, shorts, skirts and shirt dresses.

Nautical influences will add a preppy and casual vibe to his wardrobe. Basic short-sleeved polo shirts come in all colors, including pastels, neutrals and stripes. More preppy picks include slim-fit chinos in black, navy and khaki, plus striped lightweight cardigans.

These pieces will feel just as right on your next cruise as they would cruising around the city. Get these looks from apparel retailer Aeropostale, which just opened a store at the new wing of Ayala Center Cebu. (JVC)
