DSWD 7 needs 806 devt. workers

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 7 announced it has opened 806 available positions for job applicants interested to join the Kalahi-CIDSS– National Community-Driven Development Program (KC-NCDDP) implementation in Central Visayas.

The national program will be officially launched in June 2014, in time for the successful applicants to start on their jobs.

The available positions are 72 area coordinators (applicants must have at least three years of supervisory experience in social development projects), 93 deputy-area coordinators (applicants must be civil engineering graduates), 93 municipal financial analysts (applicants must be graduates of business-related courses, preferably management or accounting) and 548 community facilitators (applicants must be social science graduates with experience in community organizing and community development work).


KC-NCCDP will cover 108 municipalities in the Provinces of Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental and Siquijor.

Out of the 108 areas, 72 municipalities, which have been prioritized as disaster affected areas of typhoon Yolanda and Bohol earthquake, will begin its implementation this year. The remaining 36 areas that are composed of municipalities with poverty incidence rates greater than 26.5 percent will start in 2015.
