The sessions were chaired by Alice Woolbright. Marriott also held its “GM Cocktails” with Cebu’s media.

Lola Saling, the creative cuisine resto of Pinky Quisumbing, re-opened last April 8.

Our good friend, Nestor Chua, celebrated his 70th birthday at the Grand Convention Center. More on this in my next article.
PAL’S Gala Awards

Philippine Airlines (PAL), under the able stewardship of officer-in-charge (OIC) Chris Lebumfacil, had a formal black and white dinner for “Awards 2014” at Radisson Blu.

Photos here will tell you more about it.

Little Mr. and Ms. Speechcom 2014

Speechcom summer sessions start tomorrow, Tuesday, April 23, at the Sacred Heart Center. One yearly feature in the social graces module is the search for Little Mr. and Ms. Speechcom 2014. It focuses on proper grooming and good manners and right conduct.

SP Comm Kit. In social gatherings, who greets who? The lady acknowledges a male friend with a smile, so the latter feels comfortable to approach and talk to her. One who has a higher designation takes the first move to greet with a smile one with a lower rank.

The lady stands up to greet an older person or a person of authority, when the occasion dictates. For males and females of same age or rank, greetings are not dictated by any formal procedure.
