Your go-to hub in the city

-A A +A

THERE'S finally a commercial hub in Lapu-Lapu City. That’s Pueblo Verde in Barangay Basak, right next to Mactan Economic Zone II (MEZ II) and is bounded on three sides by the M. Patalinghug Highway, Kadaugan Ave. and Ati-atihan Road. A seven hectare development by Aboitizland, Pueblo Verde has Robinson’s as its anchor store.

Pueblo Verde is a commercial hub where one can find everything one usually needs—from banks (five of the country’s major banks are here) to dining places, food kiosks, a 7-Eleven, pharmacies (Rose and Three-Sixty), a KTV bar and a coffee shop, an e-gaming place by Pagcor, money changers, pawn shops, beauty salons and a massage place, a building supply store, and lotto.

And yes, there’s The Outlets, for name brands (Adidas, G-Force, Nike, Levi’s/Dockers, Converse, Timberland) at prices usually lower than their outlets elsewhere. This is the fi rst factory outlet place in the Visayas-Mindanao area and, for those into sports wear, this place is a must to visit.

There are other stores in Pueblo Verde like the Peso store (a bargain hunter’s delight), a Fashion Boutique, and Tupperwear. Soon, it will have an SM mini-mall. And yes, there’s ample parking space!
One can spend hours here, just looking around, perhaps without buying anything, but just peoplewatching or plainly just enjoying the sights of all the goods and foods available here. On some nights, there could be another reason for going to Pueblo Verde when there might be something special going on at its central plaza: there could be a free concert, a movie or other entertainment.

Pueblo Verde is truly a blessing for Lapu-Lapu City residents who no longer have to commute elsewhere for their needs as most everything can already be found here. For the shopaholic, here’s another place to be!
