PHOENIX Petroleum Philippines, Inc. (PNX) opened its newest and largest station in Cebu along UN Avenue, Umapad, Mandaue last Feb.7.

Strategically located along the Marcelo Fernan Bridge, the newest station is the 11th branch of Phoenix in Cebu and the second in Mandaue City. It’s also the first venture of the Hayco Fuel Enterprise, headed by the general manager Erica Hayco.

Hayco is among the youngest and most promising Phoenix dealers. She said that with this latest Phoenix station she wants to focus on fast and professional service and help the community’s growth.

The company is an independent gasoline station that opened 10 years ago in Davao with zero market shares. They have around 400 stations around the Philippines. Now, it boasts of being the fourth petroleum company in the country.

“We want to give the public affordable fuels,” Atty. Raymond Zorilla, the vice president on external affairs and business development of PNX, said.

They have already opened more than 200 stations in Mindanao. Phoenix is targeting Visayas and is looking into saturating their presence in Metro Cebu and spreading it naturally.

PNX is targeting to open 36 more stations in the Visayas and end up with 62 full-operational stations by the end of the year. (ADO)
