BUSINESS and entrepreneurship are both flourishing in the Philippines. This is evident with the developments and the increasing number of businesses and franchises opening.

This year’s 15th Cebu Franchise Expo is expected to be full and colorful. The exposition will be happening this coming March 7 to 9, 2014 in SM City Cebu Trade Hall.

All the 80 booths are filled with franchises from different industries and locations.

There will be exhibitors from Manila, Davao, Cavite, Iloilo, Cebu, and even from Singapore. Participants are from different trades like bakeshops, cafés, drug stores, restaurants, wellness, and others.

The event will feature top franchise companies and the best products. There will also be seminars on the basics and legalities of franchising by Rudolf Kotik and trademark registration by Nedjet Capuno.

“Franchising is the best way to expand their business around the Philippines,” Kotik, founder of RK Franchise Consultancy, said.

Kotik noted that the food industry is still on top of the hottest franchises in the country. Next is beauty and wellness, as more people are becoming more conscious of their looks at this digital age.

The expo is expecting a lot of foot traffic, especially with the positive economy and availability of spaces. They are also targeting to develop 60 franchises within the year.

Aside from Cebu, the expo will be making rounds in other cities. Next will be Davao, this September. (ADO)
