Beauty Queens’ Beauty Routines

-A A +A

INSPIRED by the recently held Miss Cebu 2014 pageant, I decided to ask former wearers of the Miss Cebu crown about some of their ideas on beauty. They did get all glammed up to the nines for coronation night, but they are are also busy women juggling work and life just like everyone else. Check out what they have to say about makeup looks, their quick beauty routines and what makes them feel the most beautiful.

Stephanie Senires, Miss Cebu 2006

I’m not picky on the look when it comes to makeup, but I definitely always have to have nice thick falsies to make my eyes pop. I prefer nude or pale lips over dark lips too. The beauty queen look is always a favorite.

When I only have 10 minutes to do my makeup, I do my eyebrows, BB cream, powder, blush on, and lip gloss.

I feel most beautiful when I get my makeup done by my favorite makeup artists, like Ramil Solis!

Sian Maynard, Miss Cebu 2008

I am such a fan of winged eyeliner and a bold lip combination. It’s a clean, classic look that has a little bit of 1950’s flair to it.

If I’m running late, my usual routine consists of a quick application of BB cream for a base, two coats of mascara, a dab of crème blush to give my cheeks some natural-looking color and coral lipstick for a punch of color. If I get it done in time, then I like to squeeze in a little eyeliner as well to polish off the look.

I love being pampered, so getting my makeup done professionally by my favorite makeup artists is always a treat for me.

Kris Janson, Miss Cebu 2009

I love any kind of makeup on me. It depends on the occasion. I love light or natural makeup because it makes me look young. I enjoy smokey eyes as well because it makes me look fierce.

If I only have 10 minutes to do my makeup, the first thing I would do is to make sure that I look flawless. I make sure I have a good moisturizer, concealer, eyebrows (most important), blush on, mascara and lip gloss or lipstick.

I feel most beautiful after a shower and when my mom tells me that I am.
