THE “queen” in her white gown waited for the air-borne Sto. Niño icon to land in her hands. The beat resumed and the holy child, beaming under the sun, was glorified with the dancing.

What followed was a stunning acrobatics show thrown in by a spontaneous couple climbing, gliding and stretching in a pair of fabrics suspended in the late morning sky. The aerial celebration had commenced.

Sinulog 2014 literally reached new heights with the staging of “Sinulog in the Air,” a first-of-its-kind festival entertainment exclusive at The Padgett Place in Molave St., Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

The Padgett Place is a 26-storey leisure residential condominium of Duros Land Properties Inc., the business development arm of Duros Real Estate and Markets Management Corp. (DREMMC).

A special preview was witnessed by members of the media on Thursday which was graced by DREMMC chief operating officer Francis Dexter Bandala, chief marketing officer Grace Tortor and brand ambassadress Vanessa Amman.

Sinulog in the Air ran for three days over the weekend along with an open house starting Jan. 16. Every segment was delivered in six minutes by Manila-based acrobats who were actually winners of the national talent search, Pilipinas Got Talent.

The activity was deemed as an expression of thanksgiving to Señor Sto. Niño for favors showered upon the Duros group of companies for more than 26 years in the industry.

Tortor also underlined that it’s meant to project the intention of The Padgett Place which is a lifestyle of space and heights.

Housing a total of 191 units, The Padgett Place is sprawled as one-third of a 3,500-square meter of land. Previously known as the Padgett Compound, the area back then was home to American US Army retiree Cyrus John Padgett.

According to Bandala, the property was only a promise two years ago. Now, it’s 90 percent complete and 70 percent sold out since pre-selling. It targets the high end market with choices of standard or deluxe spaces. Buyers profile is a mix of local and foreign investors as well as end-users. Turnover of units will be this July.

The Padgett Place is claimed to be a synonym for Cebu’s real beauty. Features and amenities include pools, jogging trail, lobby and coffee shop, gardens, fitness facility and a clubhouse, all in a private corner secluded from the noise of the metropolis outside.

Another reason to choose The Padgett Place is the golf playing rights at the Duros Mountain Resort and Golf Club, a separate company development in Baragay San Roque, Liloan. An eight-hectare executive18-hole, Jack Nicklaus-inspired golf course will be the major highlight of the 130-hectare project. The first nine holes are slated for completion by 2016 while the rest will be scheduled for another year or two. Bandala said that Duros is in collaboration with a prestigious golf course in the country, the Sta. Elena Golf Club in Laguna Province for the new golf community address down south.

The remaining cuts of the mountain resort are allotted for a residential subdivision, villas, retreat center and integrated leisure activities such as cable car rides.
