Dea Devaras-A A +A
Saturday, January 4, 2014
To say that Dea’s 2013 was an eventful year is an understatement.
Her milestones include leaving behind her three-year stint in the call center world; going on her first solo, spontaneous trip overseas; and in the later part, coping with the Yolanda tragedy that affected her immediate family in Leyte.
“There were a lot of factors that helped me improve,” she said. “I can say I became more resilient, appreciative and contented. I also became more confident of my style, ideals and principles in life.”
Dea gave herself an A for health because it was when she rediscovered the benefits of meditation and eating healthy. “That meant lesser (i.e. fewer) burgers and soda,” she said. “I also attended a couple of yoga sessions and capoeira.”
Career-wise, Dea entered a new industry and gained clarity of what she really wants to pursue, hence the grade of A; while for finances, she placed a B. “I spent my earnings in more relevant expenses,” she said. “My savings, though, need to grow more.”
On the love front, Dea gave it the lowest, a C. “Why?” she raised. “Exactly. We can all laugh about it now.”
