How he managed to juggle passion, family and everything in between is something Celso Duazo Pepito of Cebu Artists Incorporated (CAI) wants to highlight.

For the past 12 months, the homegrown artist has been trying to improve on quality and discover opportunities to inject a new dimension into his artistic expression.

“I’d like to discover more of these techniques so I may strongly convey a personal message to the public. Also, I’m still working on my virtue of order and I’m hoping to finally attain factual development in this area in the years to come,” he said.

Celso channels instead another supposed show in US this year to his active participation in a series of art related activities here in Cebu, Manila, and Malaysia. Recently, he headed an exhibit staged for the benefit of Yolanda victims while next month a Sinulog exhibit is set as year opener for CAI.

“There’s still a lot to do. Perhaps, my career never turned out the way I wanted it to be in 2013 but I still consider it as an excellent one!” Celso claimed.

Overall, Celso was fit last year although on some days, sinus problems and financial responsibilities (just like every other artist’s struggle), hinder his creativity.

Celso is privileged to have a very supportive wife, well intent children, two lovable grandchildren and a supportive local art scene.

The father, the grandfather and the cubism master is surrounded with love.

“If given a chance to ask for more, I hope I can inspire my colleagues to do as well what they love doing the most and at the same time give back love,” Celso concluded, looking forward to a wonderful 2014.
