‘Naruto’ movie exclusive showing at SM-A A +A

THE highest grossing Naruto movie in Japan (that grossed 1.46 billion yen or $18.3 million) will finally be shown in Philippine theaters.
Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie, directed by Manraj Pannu and written by Yuka Miyata and Masashi Kishimoto, is set in an alternate timeline of the Naruto universe in which Naruto never lost his parents and many characters have different personalities.
Sixteen years ago, a mysterious masked ninja unleashed a powerful creature known as the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox on the Hidden Leaf Village Konoha, killing many people. In response, the leader of Konoha’s ninja forces, the Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze, and his wife Kushina Uzumaki, the Demon Fox’s living prison, to seal the creature inside their newborn son Naruto Uzumaki.
The film debuted in the Japanese box office third earning $3,799,276. On August 14, 2012, Yahoo announced gross sales of over one billion yen ($12.7 million), becoming the second highest grossing Naruto film near to the first film, Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow.
As a result, Kishimoto drew a picture of Naruto and the film antagonist Menma to commemorate the film’s achievement. The movie will be shown in SM Cinemas from April 9 to 16. (PR)
