WITH the recent launch of Smart Communications’ (Smart) prepaid LTE SIM, more Filipinos now have access to super-fast mobile Internet connection that they can enjoy along with the standard call and text service on their phones.

The first and only service of its kind in the country, Smart’s prepaid LTE SIM takes subscribers on the fast lane of mobile Internet, delivering unrivaled download speeds of up to 42 Mbps on their LTE-enabled smartphones.

The SIMs are already available in telco tiangges and select Smart Stores nationwide in two variants: a dual-cut micro SIM for handsets with micro SIM or regular SIM slots, priced at P40 and comes with 35 free SMS to all networks; and the nano SIM for the iPhone 5 priced at P100 that includes P50 of load. Both SIMs are also available via the Smart Online Store at

Those who want to upgrade their current SIM cards and keep their prepaid numbers, meanwhile, can proceed to any Smart Store near them to have their SIMs converted to become LTE-enabled, giving them keys to Smart’s vast mobile LTE network.

The availability of the Smart prepaid LTE SIM for mobile phones opens the doors for a wider range of subscribers to maximize the full potential of their LTE-capable phones and enjoy the benefits of having high-speed Internet on the go.

“The Smart Prepaid LTE SIM truly makes ‘LTE for All’ a reality, as it gives our predominantly prepaid subscriber base the opportunity to access high-speed mobile Internet backed by the country’s widest LTE infrastructure,” says Jane Basas, head of Smart’s prepaid business group. “Now they can maximize their LTE-capable phones and even have the flexibility to manage their load budgets.”

For budding filmmaker Randolph Longjas, the saying “time is gold” has become a personal mantra. In between takes during filming, and rushing to meet post-production deadlines, delays that extend production time literally come at a cost—and a huge one at that.

With the dawn of new innovations in digital filmmaking, Randolph has learned to trust only the most reliable technologies and services to move his projects forward. In particular, he recently bought a Smart Prepaid LTE SIM to see how life on the “fast
lane” of mobile Internet would be like.

“I bought the SIM and tried subscribing to a one-day unlimited service on my iPhone 5, and I was impressed with how blazingly fast the download speed is,” Longjas said. “My work requires viewing and uploading large video files at a moment’s notice, and I’m thankful that Smart LTE has so far lived up to its promise.” (PR)
