AN UNDERWEAR led to the identification of one of the unnamed bodies that were burned and dumped recently in a barangay bordering Libona town, Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro.
Jenisel Saharena positively identified the brief worn and the body tattoos of Lynde Madula to police authorities Friday.
Saharena is Madula's live-in partner. She also identified the other body as Junbert Bragat.
The victims are residents of Josefina town, Zamboanga del Sur.
“They [Madula and Bragat] went here to look for jobs. They've been here for two weeks prior to the incident," Saharena said.
Saharena recalled that Madula was able to message her by phone that they (Madula and Bragat) were detained at Agora police station because of illegal position of firearm, which was confiscated from them.
A day after that, the victims were released from police custody. Then, she couldn’t reach Madula's phone, Saharena said.
Saharena then went to Cagayan de Oro on July 17 after she heard reports of the dumped remains.
She admitted that Madula used to be convicted for homicide.
Around 6 a.m. of July 10, two burned bodies were found at Barangay Gango in Libona.
The Scene of the Crimes Operatives in Cagayan de Oro found gunshot wounds and five stab wounds on Madula's chest.
Sarahena asked authorities to properly investigate the case, so justice will be served.
