ANOTHER burned bodies were found along the national highway in Barangay Gango, between the boundary of Libona, Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro City Wednesday morning, police said.

At first, there were talks circulating among the ‘habal-habal’ (motorcycle for hire) drivers and then the police personnel of Libona decided to check if the rumors of the burned bodies were true.

At About 7 a.m., the Libona police, in coordination of the Scene of the Crime Operatives in Northern Mindanao (Soco-10), found two male burned bodies.

Initial report showed the two were already dead before they were burned as they bore gunshot and stabbed wounds.

Police said they could no longer identify the bodies which burned beyond recognition.

“Di na ma-ilhan ang dagway kay sunog na kaayo (The victims’ faces were burned so bad),” said Inspector Joanne Galvez, Bukidnon police spokesperson.

One body had a tattoo of a “Magic Group Guardian,” Galvez added.

At present, the bodies are brought to Bollozos funeral homes in Barangay Bulua.

Burning of dead bodies seems to be the new trend in summary execution of late.

Last month, an unidentified corpse, also charred, was dumped in Barangay Indahag.

On July 5, three men, whose identities remained unknown, were discovered in Barangay Santa Ana, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.

On June 15, a charred cadaver was also found in Barangay Natumolan, also in Tagoloan town.
