Body found in Oro village-A A +A

A BODY was found lying on a grassy portion along the road of Narhill subdivision, Aluba in Barangay Macasandig, Cagayan de Oro City early Friday.
Police said the residents in the area heard gun shots around 1 a.m. on Friday.
An hour later, two security guards also heard gun shots and went to check the area.
The guards discovered a body with brown complexion, wearing a red polo shirt, blue short pants, and blue slippers.
The guards found the remains near the area they are keeping watch.
Macasandig police station commander Senior Inspector Ariel Phillip Pontillas said the victim was a male, 5’4 in height, and more or less 25 years old.
Pontillas said the remains sustained multiple gun shots on different parts of his body.
The mouth of the victim was severely damaged by a gunshot wound entering in the back of his head, which resulted to his death, Macasandig police report showed.
Pontillas said investigators are not certain what type of firearm was used in shooting the victim since they did not find empty shells at the crime scene.
As of this posting, the police have yet to identify the motive of the killing since the body has remained unnamed.
Once the body is identified, the police assured they will work on finding the motive of the incident.
The victim is now at Bollozos Funeral Homes in Barangay Bulua awaiting for relatives to claim it. (Lynyrd Alexsei N. Corrales-XU Intern)
