SOME P11,000 worth of cash and valuables were carted away from a gasoline station by six unidentified suspects on Wednesday evening along Masterson Avenue in Upper Balulang in Cagayan de Oro.

Police Officer 1 (PO1) Liezel Mejos, of the Carmen police station, said the suspects, who were on board two single motorcycles without plate numbers (red and white), carted some P11,000 cash from Shell gas station’s income for the day and two cell phones of the cashier, Leah Daayata.

Mejos said the gas station was about to close when one of the suspects went inside the cashier’s booth and pointed a gun at the cashier who was directed to hand over the cash and cell phones.

She said the police immediately responded to the area after the incident was reported, but the police failed to arrest the suspects who immediately fled toward Macapagal Road.

The suspects wore jackets and caps which made them unrecognizable despite recordings from the gas station’s closed circuit television camera (CCTV).

An investigation is underway to determine the motive of the incident and to identify the suspect.
