“I AM happy when I get good grades and become an honor student, when my mommy and daddy don’t fight and when I go to the park and have fun with my friends.”

With this answer, Little Miss Kagayan 2014 Kim Katryl Labor of Barangay Kauswagan outshone the other equally beautiful girls when they were asked “what makes them happy.”

The seven-year-old Kim has been crowned Little Miss Kagayan 2014 on Saturday night, August 9, 2014.

The criterion for the question and answer portion is rated through intelligence by 40 percent, grace and charm by 30 percent, relevance of the answer to the question is 20 percent and audience impact is 10 percent.

From an ordinary girl to the princess of the night, Kim was all smiles for the camera.

Kim also won the Charming Princess of the night because of her sunny personality and beaming confidence or more appropriately, her lack of nervousness. She did have fun during the coronation night.

Candidate # 1 owned the stage whether she was in her ethnic, casual and ball gown outfit.

Kim took home P15,000 and a huge trophy with gift certificates and giveaways from the pageant’s sponsors.

Among the other candidates, Kim and her court, candidate # 15 Abby Tahtiana Caturas, candidate # 5 Yesha See, Charlie Ann Flemming candidate # 14 and # 11 Marloe Louisse Almaquer rose to the Top 5 after sets of presentations.

Caturas won 1st runner up, See landed on the 2nd place, Flemming is 3rd runner up and Almaquer is 4th runner up.

Each member of the royal court was awarded P3,000 with trophies plus gift certificates and giveaways as well.

Candidate # 5 Yesha See, a favorite of the crowd because of her bubbly and witty nature, won numerous awards. She was awarded cutest princess, best in tribal attire, the cakery princess, and press princess.

She was also awarded as Little Kapamilya Star by Shiela Joy Labrador of ABS – CBN. Although she was not crowned as LMK Princess, Yesha’s future in the show business seems to be bright.

The Little Miss Kagayan 2014 pageant is only one of the core events for this year’s Higalaay Festival.
