A new dining experience at TGI Friday's-A A +A
Friday, February 1, 2013
WITH the opening of additional malls here in the City of Golden Friendship, Kagay-anons will no longer be deprived of a superb dining experience amidst a fun atmosphere as they can indulge in flavorful dishes similar to what bigger cities offer.
The Bistro Group, owner of quality food chains in the Country, has expanded its horizon and chose Cagayan de Oro as its new niche for its restaurants like the TGI Friday’s, which recently opened its new branch at the ground floor of Centrio Mall.
The newest TGI Friday’s store sports the same contemporary vibe and interiors that can be found in all Friday’s branches worldwide that food lovers will surely yearn over and over again.
Recently, another round of food adventure treat was graciously offered by the big bosses of Bistro group headed by TGI Friday’s marketing manager, Roda Grace Patricio-Adriano, to the members of the media.
Aside from the sumptuous hefty meal they served, the members of the media, including bloggers, could not hide their amusement of the resto’s nuances and characteristics that are truly Friday’s.
The group could not help set aside their cameras as everything looks marvelous inside, from the wooden dining tables, the spacious booth seating down to the sleek droplights that brighten the dining areas, the electric memorabilia concept, the disco balls down to the images of icons such as Bruce Lee, Wonder Woman, E.T and Ghostbusters.
While waiting for dinner to be served, we can’t help but notice the different vintage collections of the albums of the legendary Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson placed on an accent spot called “the album wall.”
Our gracious host served us their mouth-watering menu featuring American-style dishes in generous proportions that will surely make other diners go super wow.
For starters, we tasted the three-for-all, a flavorsome trio of Friday’s signature fried mozzarella, buffalo wings and loaded potato fries, plus the chicken fingers, which is the stores ‘all time favorite with its hand-battered chicken, fried and served with flavorsome fries and a choice of barbecue sauce of honey mustard dip.
The appetizers were already a meal by itself but we can’t help but get another bite of their main dish, the Jack Daniel’s salmon and ribs, the assorted burgers, pastas, seafood and meat dishes that are all very hearty and lip-smacking good.
After the oozing meal, we were so stuffed as they served us our last round, the resto's signature desserts and the rich beverage tradition featuring smoothies and flings as examples of non-alcoholic offerings as well as a fully-stacked bar for those who want our drinks spiked.
We thought it was the usual 'bye-byes' and 'thank you’s' for our host but our dining experience at Friday’s completed our weekend as we were entertained by the resto's waiters, waitresses, cooks, crew and their world-class bartenders through a dance number and bottle-flipping, drink tossing and heart stopping flairs.
All in all, we went home with filled tummies and completely satisfied of their presentation.
TGI Friday’s has indeed opened new concepts of good food and great entertainment for Kagay-anons.
As a meticulous customer in terms of food, I cannot get enough of a Friday’s fever.
