GMA pulled off a stellar participation in the recent Kadayawan Festival when it brought not just one, not two, but three of its most bankable leading men to celebrate Southern Mindanao's biggest fete—Kapuso primetime king Dingdong Dantes, drama king Dennis Trillo, and platinum recording artist Tom Rodriguez.

The cast of Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real enjoyed the warm welcome given by their Dabawenyo supporters whose presence overwhelmed Dingdong, Lovi Poe, Rodjun Cruz, and Marc Abaya. An estimate of 3,000 people attended the Kapuso Fiesta in SM City Davao last August 17.

"We're very thrilled that we got to be part of this very special event for Davao and share with them the cast of Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real. We had a great time celebrating and bringing entertainment to our Kapuso here. My past experiences here were always pleasant and it just gets better and better," shared Dingdong of his Kadayawan experience.

Sa Puso ni Dok's Dennis, meanwhile, bannered a Kapuso Mall Show together with Thea Tolentino, Andre Paras, and JC Tiuseco of The Half Sisters on the same day. All four of them were grateful for the success of the event held in Abreeza Mall.

Dennis appreciated the crowd and acknowledged their importance saying, “Masaya ako na nagingpart kami ng Kadayawan Festival celebration this year. Hindi ko makakalimutan ‘yung appreciationng mga Kapuso nating Dabawenyo sa atin na hindi nagbabago, particularly ‘yung energy nila na nagpapagana sa aming mag-perform. It really matters to us, knowing na napapasaya namin sila.”

Leyte-born Tom, for his part, felt the same elation as he witnessed for himself the almost frenzied welcome the Dabawenyos accorded the GMA stars.

"When I saw the people I knew it was gonna be even better than last time. Kasi mga taga-Davaokay grabe, lami gyud kaayo mu-entertain; lami kaayo ang ilang pag-accept. The last time grabe ilang siyagit, lami kaayo ang feeling," expressed Tom in Bisaya (Because the Dabawenyos are really very entertaining. I could really feel the warmth of their welcome. The last time, they were cheering so loud and it feels great.)

Tom was joined by his co-stars in My Destiny Rhian Ramos and Ruru Madrid, as well as Gabby Eigenmann, Chynna Ortaleza, and Glaiza de Castro from Dading in a Kapuso Mall Show and promo tour at the Gaisano Mall of Davao last August 16. They also experienced the Kadayawan high in the Kapuso Meet & Greet and Kapuso Street Party at San Pedro St. cor. Bolton St., Davao City.

Gabby, Chynna, and Glaiza also went to see their fans in the Gaisano Mall of Toril prior to their joint show with the cast of My Destiny.

Also present in the said festival was Taste Buddies' Solenn Heussaff who, with her singing talent, amazed the crowd in a Kapuso Meet Greet at the SM Lanang Premier; while Kapuso actors Rocco Nacino, Rafael Rosell, and Kristoffer Martin made girls shriek with delight in a mall show at the NCCC Mall of Davao last August 15.

?"It's a great privilege for us at GMA Network to be a part of Davao City's Kadayawan Festival once again. We owe the high ratings of our local programs to the unwavering support of our kapusong Dabawenyos and we hope that by bringing some of our brightest stars to join them in their celebration, we have rewarded them somehow," shared Oliver Amoroso, GMA Network’s Head for Integrated Marketing Services (IMS) Division/AVP for Regional TV.

Highlights of the Network's participation in this year's Kadayawan Festival will be seen via Let's Fiesta! on August 31 airing in all nine GMA regional stations in Ilocos, Bicol, Dagupan, Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, Davao, GenSan, and Cagayan de Oro.
