Alleged killers of QC cop arrested-A A +A

(UPDATED) POLICE arrested Wednesday four individuals for their alleged involvement in the killing of a ranking Quezon City Police District (QCPD) officer last Monday, an official said Thursday.
QCPD chief Richard Albano said Clemente Bersoza, Larry Consolacion, Joean Marco and Rodener Necesito were arrested at the Commonwealth Market in Quezon City around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, after a tipster reported that the get-away car used by the alleged suspects was sighted in the area.
Combined elements of the QCPD Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU), District Intelligence Division (DID), Special Reaction Unit (SRU), District Special Operating Unit (DSOU), and Quezon City Metro Manila Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (QCMMCIDT) immediately conducted an operation, which resulted in the arrest of the four.
Albano said Berzosa who was first seen by the authorities at the entrance of the market with a handgun tucked in his waistband hurriedly run, sensing the presence of the operatives, but was immediately cornered as he wrestled with policemen.
Marco was seen hiding himself near a stairway while Consolacion and Necesito were spotted trying to escape at the market's parking lot.
Albano said the vehicle used by the suspects was identified through a closed-circuit television camera footage taken in the area.
Seized from the operation were assorted firearms, hand-held radio, a hand grenade and a white Asian Utility Vehicle (AUV) without license plate.
The alleged suspects was placed under the custody of the QCPD in Camp Karingal in Quezon City facing cases of illegal possession of firearms, ammunition and explosives, murder and two counts of attempted murder while the motive of the killing is yet to be identified.
On Monday, unidentified suspects gunned down Senior Inspector Roderick Medrano while he, his wife, and two children were on board a car.
A Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) Medrano was immediately activated to hunt down the suspects who killed the police officer whom they described as humble, kind and a friend of everybody. (Sunnex)
