Tuesday, August 19, 2014
MANILA -- Good weather is expected to prevail in the Philippines for the next four days, as the ridge of high pressure will be the dominant weather system affecting the country, the state weather bureau said on Tuesday.
In an interview, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical andAstronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather observer Benjie Depas said a ridge of High Pressure Area is now prevailing over Luzon.
Depas said that aside from possible afternoon or evening rains due to localized thunderstorms or convections, the whole country is projected to have sunny to partly cloudy skies until Saturday, August 23.
He said no cyclone is expected to affect the country until weekend.
Pagasa, however, still expects two or three more tropical cyclones to enter the country on August.
The next tropical cyclone to enter the Philippine territory will be named “Kanor.” (PNA/Sunnex)
