MALACAÑANG distanced itself on Sunday from the call to extend President Benigno Aquino III's stay in office.
Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said that the Palace has nothing to do with the group of netizens, which posted in a social networking site “One More Term: Re-elect PNoy for President,”which reportedly has gained four million supporters already.
Wala naman pong kumokontrol niyan," he said in an interview over dzRB Radyo ng Bayan.
Coloma asked those behind the call to respect the Constitution, which bars an incumbent president from seeking another six-year term.
