MANILA -- The state weather bureau reported Tuesday that Tropical Depression Inday is moving northwest toward Taiwan.

Inday was located at 720 kilometers (km) east of Aparri, Cagayan as of 4 p.m. Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services (Pagasa) said in its latest bulletin.

The Pagasa said Inday will not make landfall in the Philippines. However, Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol region, Western Visayas and the provinces of Zambales and Bataan will experience occasional rains.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, the weather bureau added.
