COURT operations in Metro Manila were suspended on Tuesday afternoon by Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno due to inclement weather caused by Typhoon Glenda, which is expected to cross provinces north of the capital the next day.

The suspension of work took effect at 3:30 p.m. while executive judges in areas outside the National Capital Region (NCR) have the discretion to call off operations, said SC spokesperson Theodore Te on Twitter.

Metro Manila is currently under storm signal number 2 with winds of 61-100 kilometers per hour expected in at least 24 hours. Glenda is the first storm to directly hit the Philippines this year. (Sunnex)
