THE Philippine National Police (PNP) has been ordered to immediately resolve the recent high-profile killings involving a racer and a hotel owner, a Palace official said Saturday.

Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said that PNP Chief Director General Alan Purisima directed his personnel to focus on the cases of racer Enzo Pastor, who was shot dead in Quezon City, and businessman Richard King, who was killed in Davao City.

"Nagbigay na ho ng utos ang hepe po ng ating Philippine National Police na paspasan po at bigyan ho ng nararapat na focus ‘yung dalawa nga hong insidenteng nangyari—isa ho ‘yung kay Enzo Pastor at isa naman po kay Ginoong King doon sa Davao—at nagbigay na ho sila ng direktiba na bantayan po ‘yung imbestigasyon nitong kasong ito," she said in an interview over dzRB Radyo ng Bayan.

Pastor, a champion race car driver, was ambushed Thursday night by motorcycle-riding gunmen.

King, the owner of Crown Regency Group of Hotels, was also shot dead inside a building in Davao City also on Thursday night. (SDR/Sunnex)
