Sandigan to proceed with raffle of PDAF cases Friday-A A +A
Wednesday, June 11, 2014
THE Sandiganbayan has been directed by the Supreme Court (SC) to conduct the raffle of the plunder and graft charges in connection with pork barrel scam.
The SC made the directive in a one-page notice signed by the high tribunal's clerk of court Enriqueta Vidal.
Court raffles are usually done every Friday at 11 a.m.
In the same notice, the SC required the Sandiganbayan and all parties to the cases to comment within three days on the request of Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales for the High Court to create at least two special divisions that will exclusively handle the cases related to the scam.
Facing plunder and graft cases so far are Senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy Estrada, Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. as well as other co-respondents in the case led by businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles, the alleged mastermind in the corruption of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).
