THE Court of Appeals (CA) Sixth Division denied on Monday a motion of the Office of Solicitor General to stop the hearing on the restraining order issued in favor of Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay Jr.
During the hearing, the OSG invoked judicial courtesy of an existing petition at the Supreme Court (SC) filed by the Office of the Ombudsman.

PRESIDENT Benigno Aquino III has signed a joint resolution with Congress, increasing the daily subsistence allowance of uniformed personnel from P90 to P150 per day, effective January 1 this year, a Palace official said Monday.
In a press briefing, Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said that the current allowance is "no longer adequate to meet the basic needs of Filipino military soldiers and uniformed personnel… in view of the increasing prices of commodities".
