POLICE served a warrant Tuesday on the wife of Manuel Amalilio, the alleged brains behind the Aman Futures Group Philippines Inc. investment scam.

Chief Superintendent Raul Petrasanta, director of Central Luzon police, said Abigail Pendulas was arrested inside the Party Place restaurant in Dolores, City of San Fernando in Pampanga, for syndicated estafa.

Pendulas tried to hide her identity by changing her name to Azziah De Guzman Concillado. She also got a nose job to change her physical appearance, police said.

In 2013, Judge Alberto Quinto of Lanao Del Norte Regional Trial Court issued a warrant of arrest for Pendulas for allegedly cooperating with several others, including her arrested husband, Amalilio.

Amalilio, who is detained in Malaysia, is the mastermind of the P12-billion investment scam that victimized at least 12,000 individuals in the Visayas and Mindanao.

Pendulas is now detained at Camp Olivas in Central Luzon. (Sunnex)
