Magnitude 3.6 quake hits Bohol

A MAGNITUDE 3.6 jolted the province of Bohol at 12:31 p.m. Friday.

In its bulletin, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the epicenter of the tremor was located at 52 kilometers (km) northeast of Tagbilaran City.

The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 3 km.

Intensity III was felt in Bohol, while intensity II was felt in Lapu-Lapu City and Cebu City.

Phivolcs said there were no reported damages and expected aftershocks.

On April 25, 2014, a magnitude 3.8 earthquake jolted Tagbilaran City.

In October 2013, Bohol was hit by a 7.2-magnitude earthquake that killed more than 200 and displaced more than 300,000 people. (Sunnex)
