THE Supreme Court (SC) has scheduled the 2014 Bar examinations in four Sundays of October at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila.

In a notice, SC clerk of court Enriqueta Vidal said the justices approved on April 21 the recommendation of Bar chairperson Associate Justice Diosdado Peralta to hold the exam on October 5, 12, 19 and 26.

Interested law graduates may file applications from June 1 to July 15. Late applications will not be entertained, the Court said.

A total of 5,292 examinees took part in last year's Bar, which was topped by Nielson Pangan of the University of the Philippines (UP) College of Law.

Pangan and the rest of 1,174 passers will take their oath as lawyers on May 5 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City. (Sunnex)
