Magnitude 3.8 quake jolts Tagbilaran City

CEBU CITY (Updated) -- A magnitude 3.8 earthquake jolted Tagbilaran City, Bohol at 2:58 p.m. Friday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

Phivolcs said the tremor was located at 28 kilometers (km) northeast of Tagbilaran City with a depth of 13 kilometers.

The quake was tectonic in origin.

Intensity IV was felt in Antequera, Bohol, while intensity III was felt in Tagbilaran City and Lila, Bohol.

Intensity II was felt in Cebu City, and Dauis, Bohol.

No aftershocks are expected, Phivolcs said.

Last October 15, 2013, a magnitude 7.2 quake rattled Bohol and other parts of Visayas and Mindanao. Read more here. (Sunnex)
