Bicolano tops PNPA graduates-A A +A

THE top three graduating cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) are sons of police officers.
Leading the Mandirigmang may Dangal at Isipan Laan Para sa Bayan (Mandilaab) Class of 2014 is Police Cadet Glenn Tabo Santelices, son of PO3 Heide Santelices.
He will receive the Presidential Kampilan Award and Plaque of Merit during the commencement rites on Monday at the PNPA in Silang, Cavite.
Santelices is from Bicol region, home of this year’s Philippine Military Academy (PMA) valedictorian Jheorge Llona.
In second place is Police Cadet Bryan John Dayag Baccay, son of retired policeman Nelson Baccay who will receive the Vice President Kampilan Award and Plaque of Merit.
Police Cadet Allan Benedict Ramos Rosete, son of policeman Benny Rosete, ranked third. He will receive the Secretary of Interior and Local Government Kampilan Award and Plaque of Merit.
Police Cadets Ermelo Garcia Dichoso Jr., Jade Rivera Gamboa, Andy Ray Asturias Geronilla, Michael John Luciano Verzosa, Jayson Rey Sadueste Florin, Robin Llanes Martin and Ian Marc Serrano Polestico; Jail Cadet Edwin Garpida Bulatao; Fire Cadet Arvin Jude Asuncion Rapanot and Police Cadet San Roget King Llanto Ho complete the list of awardees.
Out of 202 graduating cadets, 192 are males and only 10 are females, according to the leadership of the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC) and the PNPA.
Records showed that the number of graduates this year is lower by 67 cadets or 26 percent as compared to the Tagapamagitan Class of 2013 with 269. (Third Anne Peralta/Sunnex)
