MOST parts of the Philippines will experience cloudy to rainy weather as the northeast monsoon continues to affect Luzon, the state weather bureau said Sunday.

In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms will prevail over Eastern Visayas and the province of Davao.

It added that Cagayan Valley, Bicol region and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rains.

Pagasa said the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

"Moderate to strong winds from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the east to northeast over Eastern Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough," it added.

In its weekly outlook, the weather bureau said a low pressure area, which was spotted over the Pacific Ocean, is expected to enter the country on March 19, Wednesday. (Sunnex)
