SENATOR Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. said Monday his camp will file perjury charges against Technology Research Center (TRC) director general Dennis Cunanan for lying in his testimony in relation to the pork barrel scam.

"We will file a perjury case... Buti na lang lumabas kasinunangalinan ni Cunanan," Revilla said. "Hindi ako ma-personal na tao. Pero kung sumobra na sila baka bumangon ulit ang Panday at magbitbit ng espada."

In testifying before the Senate Blue Ribbon committee last week, Cunanan said he talked to Senators Revilla and Jinggoy Estrada over the phone when the two lawmakers endorsed specific non-government organizations (NGOs) where their Priority Development Assistance Funds (PDAF) should be coursed through.

Cunanan also said that he dealt with lawyer Jessica "Gigi" Reyes, the former chief of staff of Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile.

Senators Revilla, Estrada, and Enrile are accused of plunder before the Ombudsman. Cunanan likewise is listed as one of the respondents.

"Walang direct witness na magsasabing involved ako. Never nakausap ng office ko 'yan. He's lying. Sinasabi lang niya 'yun para maabswelto siya sa plunder," Revilla said of Cunanan.

In his testimony, Cunanan also denied receiving any kickbacks from alleged pork scam queen Janet Lim-Napoles.

Pork barrel scam whistleblower Benhur Luy earlier claimed that he was instructed by Napoles to prepare the amount of P960,000. After Cunanan's meeting with Napoles, Luy said he saw Cunanan carrying the paper bag where he stored the money.

Revilla is confident that the pork barrel controversy would not hurt his political ambitions, if in case he decides to run for president in the 2016 national elections.

Earlier, members of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) said Revilla is their likely candidate in the next presidential polls.

Revilla is the chairman of Lakas-CMD.

"Maraming nagpu-push sa aking. Naikot ka na ang Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, madaming nagsasabi, lumaban ka. Sa ngayon, pinagaaralan pa namin ng mabuti," he said. (Sunnex)
