MANILA -- The tail-end of a cold front will continue to affect Northern Luzon, bringing cloudy skies and occasional rain, the state weather bureau said early Thursday.

In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms will prevail over Batanes, Calayan and Babuyan group of islands.

It added that Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and Visays will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains.

Meanwhile, Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Pagasa said Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will experience moderate to strong winds from the northeast.

The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate.

As of its 5 a.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said no tropical cyclone is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the next three days. (NMP/Sunnex)
